The greatest way we honor the life of Jesus is to make disciples.

John 20:21
As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.

Vision Statement of Courageous Church: Making Jesus known one life at a time! If we do nothing else but this I believe we will have great success in the sight of Jesus. Our full on desire is to do whatever it takes to take the whole gospel to the whole world. The best part of about this is we won’t and can’t do this by tomorrow. But, if we will steadily drive the train down the track, pick up passengers along the way, and move them down to the next station. We will exponentially over time reach the community with the gospel.

The question is, how do we do this?

Matthew 28:19-20

19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The Simple Steps:

Make – Baptize – Teach – Send

This is what it looks like to make a disciple.

I believe we have the capability and capacity to be a high impact church, if we will walk people through these few steps. The key to success is a laser focus on the mission of God and not getting hung up during one particular step. Some churches are really good at making and baptizing but they aren’t good and teaching. Some churches are great at teaching but they aren’t making. It is our job as a leader to make sure the steps are attainable and clear. The way to measure the success of our disciple-making is to ask the question, are the disciples we are making, making disciples? If we don’t do this our churches will museums and monuments of the future. Let’s not miss this. This is our mission: Make Disciples!

How do you need to be a better disciple-maker?

Are the people you have discipled making disciples?

How do you make this process clear for others?
